5. What does "Bahandian" mean?

“Bahándìan” is an Ilonggo term for a container of treasure. This name was chosen as the repository symbolizes a ‘treasure trove’ of valuable scholarly works.

6. What is Bahandian?

The institutional repository is an 'online library' for researches by CPU faculty, students, and partners. It includes journal articles, CPU research publications, theses, special papers, and dissertations. It allows easy access and citation of researches. 

7. What kinds of works may I deposit in BAHANDIAN?

BAHÁNDÌAN welcomes any kind of scholarly work from CPU community. This includes: 

Scholarly articles

  1. subject to a publishing agreement. The agreement between the resewarcher/s or authors/s and publisher, as modified by any author's addendum you used, is the most reliable source of information about your rights, and will determine whether your work may be distributed from BAHÁNDÌAN once it is deposited.
  2. subject to the open-access policy or the individual open-access license. Articles covered by the school-level policies or the individual open-access license may be deposited and distributed. The license  specific version of your article called the accepted author manuscript, or the version accepted by the journal for publication, including all modifications from the publishing peer review process.
  3. article was completed before the open-access policy, or before the author/s signed the individual open-access license. Author/s may still have the right to deposit the accepted author manuscript of the work in the repository provided the Deposit Agreement is signed.

8. What's inside Bahandian Institutional Repository?

Currently, there are hundreds of documents including journal articles and abstracts of theses, dissertations, and special papers; with more added daily. In the future, we will be expanding its contents to include multi-media materials, research data, presentations, audio, and video pertaining to CPU research.

9. Who can access Bahandian?

Anyone can access the website at https://repository.cpu.edu.ph

10. Who maintains Bahandian Institutional Repository?

The repository is managed and maintained by CPU Henry Luce III Library. The librarians and staff are digitizing materials to include in the repository. Southeast Asian Development Center - Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC/AQD) Library and Data Bank in Tigbauan, Iloilo is also providing technical support to this project.
